Former Manchester United player and current Wales manager Ryan Giggs has claimed that Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey’s upcoming move to Juventus will be beneficial to him in the same way it was for Gareth Bale when he transferred to Real Madrid.
Ramsey will be joining Juventus on a free transfer after Arsenal chose not to renew the midfielder’s current deal, and will join them in the summer for the new season. Bale made a similar move a few seasons ago when he joined Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur.
Giggs believes that Bale’s move helped him improve his game, and is confident that a similar move for Ramsey will help him when he starts playing in the Serie A alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo.
“You’ve seen what going abroad has done for Gareth. It will be a great experience for Aaron,” Giggs said, according to Goal. “Look at the facilities Juventus have got, they are a massive club.
“He is going to a great club, the biggest in Italy. He is playing well at the moment and [the prospect of leaving Arsenal] has not affected him.”
Ramsey has been one of Arsenal’s best players over the years, and has been committed to the club’s cause even with the knowledge that he will be leaving at the end of the season.
Juventus will be getting a player who is fully committed during the game, and as former teammate Wojciech Szczesny said earlier in the week, he has no problem running 13 kms in a game and will be a great addition to the team.
