Manchester United's Romelu Lukaku Says Team Need to Be More Confident Against Barcelona

Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku has implored his teammates to be more arrogant and confident when they visit Camp Nou for the second leg of their quarter-finals against Barcelona in the Champions League.

Barcelona came away with a 1-0 win thanks to an own goal from Luke Shaw, and although United were able to keep the Spanish champions at bay, they themselves could not find the creative spark to score a goal.

Lukaku, however, has said that the team needs to show more heart and b******s if they are to have any chance of knocking out Barcelona and going to the semifinals.

According to Goal, the Belgium international said: “Taking our chances and not conceding a goal, and play with more heart and b****cks. “We have to believe and have the desire and more quality. Be better on the ball and then you never know what can happen in football.

“I don’t think we played with the same arrogance and confidence on the ball [early on]. Second half we tried and the first 20 minutes of the second half we were there. It’s something we have to do for the whole 90 minutes over there and not concede a goal and score early.”

It remains to be seen if United can cook up another miracle in the same way they did against Paris Saint-Germain, but a Barcelona team with Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho will be a lot harder to beat the French champions who were without Neymar and Edinson Cavani.
