Having secured an almighty comeback in the Champions League in midweek, Juventus can now switch their attentions back towards securing an eighth successive Serie A crown when they travel to Genoa on Sunday.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s hat trick meant The Old Lady overturned a 2-0 first leg defeat against Atletico Madrid to progress 3-2 on aggregate, which means they remain in the hunt for the league and Champions League double this term.
Here’s how they could lineup for Sunday’s encounter.
1. Goalkeeper & Defenders
Mattia Perin (GK) – With Allegri admitting that changes will be made, Perin will be given the nod in goal for Juventus.
Joao Cancelo (RB) – Was one of many fine performers in midweek as Allegri’s side beat Atletico Madrid, his pace up and down the right is a key element in Juventus‘ style.
Leonardo Bonucci (CB) – Had been not fully fit prior to the midweek match with Andrea Barzagli filling in for the Italian, however, now back to fitness will start on Sunday.
Daniele Rugani (CB) – With Giorgio Chiellini being rested, Rugani should be given an opportunity to stake his claim for a regular place.
Alex Sandro (LB) – Allegri called upon the versatility of Mattia De Sciglio to fill in for the suspended Sandro last time out, however, the Brazilian should return to the starting XI on Sunday.
Miralem Pjanic (CM) – Andrea Pirlo’s successor operates in the deep-lying playmaker role and is central to Juventus’ play.
Emre Can (CM) – Has bundles of energy and power, and is likely to replace the rested Blaise Matuidi in central midfield.
Federico Bernardeschi (CM) – Was outstanding against Atletico and surely will earn a more regular place in the starting lineup now. Would have claimed man-of-the-match had it not have been for a certain Portuguese.
Paulo Dybala (RW) – Dybala is technically gifted and very fast on the transition. Was left out in the Champions League so could return for the Genoa match.
Mario Mandzukic (ST) – The Croatian’s role in the side is crucial in getting the best out of Ronaldo, his ability to draw players in and hold the ball up provides his striker partner with more space to work into.
Moise Kean (LW) – With Cristiano Ronaldo being rested, Juve’s flying young Frenchman will be given the nod once more from the start.
