Antonio Valencia’s agent and father Luis Valencia has revealed that many top clubs, including, Premier League rivals Arsenal, are interested in luring the player away from Manchester United in the upcoming transfer window.

The 33-year-old stalwart has made a total of 338 appearances for the club since 2009, winning numerous trophies including two Premier League titles and the Europa League.

Over the years, his versatility has helped United in more ways than one, but the club, influenced by his niggling injury concerns and competition for places, is reluctant to offer him a new contract.

The Ecuadorian, however, still has plenty of football left in him and his father has revealed that many top clubs are interested in his services.

“He definitely will not continue in Manchester,” Luis Valencia told El Universo, as quoted by Caught Offside

“He wants a change in the air and the club is not going to renew him either. Like everything in life, everything comes to an end. Arsenal, West Ham, Inter Milan and one club from China are options, but in football everything is changing.”

“He wants to choose the best option, but above all he wants to sign a contract for two years. Not for the money, but for peace and hopefully, he told me, be signed by a team that fights for important things,” he concluded.

The player has only played 8 matches across all competitions this season, with his last appearance coming on the 2nd of January.
