A Look at Lionel Messi's Struggles in the Quarter-Final Stage of the Champions League

Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has been in brilliant form this season showing just why he is considered to be one of the greatest, if not the greatest player in the history of the sport.

The 31-year-old recently was at it again in the UEFA Champions League, scoring two goals and registering two assists as Barcelona thrashed Lyon 5-1 in the round of 16 second leg of the competition earlier in the week.

The Catalan giants have been drawn against Manchester United in the quarter-final stage and while there is no doubt that the Red Devils would be worried about the presence of the Argentinian, they should not be too worried as he has struggled in the quarter-final stage of the competition.

The 31-year-old has now gone a staggering eleven quarter-final games without finding the net, infact, his last goal in the last eight stage came way back in April 2013 when they registered a 2-2 draw with Paris.
